Cal 37
Description
The Cal 37 is a classic American racer-cruiser sailboat designed by C. William Lapworth. Built by Jensen Marine/Cal Yachts from 1973 to 1976, approximately 42 hulls were produced. It features a moderate-displacement fin keel with spade rudder for responsive handling, solid hand-laid fiberglass construction, and a masthead sloop rig suited to coastal racing, club fleets, or family cruising. Known for its speed (PHRF ~120), balanced performance in 10–20 knots, and seaworthiness on short passages, it's a timeless design with a forgiving ride.
