Cal 36

Description

The Cal 36 is a fiberglass monohull sailboat designed by C. William Lapworth and built by Jensen Marine/Cal Boats and Bangor Punta Corp., with production starting in 1966. Known for its performance-oriented design, it blends racing capabilities with cruising comfort, making it a popular choice for coastal and moderate blue water sailing. Built from 1966 onward, with the Cal Cruising 36 variant (shallow draft) produced between 1968 and 1970. The brand ceased production in 1989, but the fleet remains active in racing and cruising.
