CAL 22

CAL 22

Description

The Cal 22 is a compact, trailerable sailboat designed by C. William Lapworth and built by Jensen Marine (Cal Yachts) from 1984 to 1987. As a modernized successor to the Cal 20 and Cal 21, it was introduced to offer improved performance, updated styling, and slightly more interior space while maintaining the affordability, simplicity, and trailer ability that defined the Cal line. Approximately 300–400 units were built, though exact numbers are not well-documented due to Cal Yachts’ closure in the late 1980s.
