Buccaneer 325

Description

The Buccaneer 325 is a 32-foot center-cockpit coastal cruising sailboat produced by Buccaneer Yachts (a division of Bayliner) in the late 1970s, designed for family-oriented weekend sailing and moderate passages with an emphasis on interior spaciousness and stability. Essentially a variant of the Buccaneer 320 with minor refinements—such as enhanced cabin layouts and optional upgrades—it features a wide beam for comfort, sleeping accommodations for 6–7, and a practical galley, making it suitable for inland or protected coastal waters. While not optimized for racing, its moderate displacement and fin keel offer forgiving performance in light to moderate conditions, though it's often criticized for unconventional aesthetics ("high-sided like a layer cake") and the variable build quality typical of Bayliner's high-volume production. Approximately 50–100 units were built, with some continuing under the US Yachts rebrand before the line's discontinuation.
