The Bruce Roberts 64 is a spacious, heavy-displacement cruising ketch or cutter designed by Bruce Roberts-Goodson in the 1980s, scaled up from the successful Roberts 53 for extended bluewater voyages, liveaboard comfort, or charter operations, with over 200 examples completed worldwide in steel, aluminum, or fiberglass, many logging thousands of ocean miles. Featuring a robust multi-chine or radius-chine hull for DIY builders, it offers exceptional stability and light-air performance via a generous sail plan, customizable layouts including an optional small pilothouse, aft master suite with king-size berth, grand salon, and flexible accommodations for 8–10+ berths, powered by an 80–120 hp diesel auxiliary; plans from bruceroberts.com include full construction drawings, material lists, and rigging options for ketch or cutter setups, with build costs estimated at $300,000–$600,000 depending on materials.
