Bombardier 4.8

Description

The Bombardier 4.8 is a Canadian recreational sailing dinghy (small sailboat) produced by Bombardier Limited starting in 1982. It's a lightweight, trailerable day sailer designed for fun, casual sailing, and occasional racing, with a length of about 15 feet 9 inches (4.8 meters) — hence the name. This boat was built during Bombardier's brief foray into sailboats in the early 1980s (they're better known today for Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft, and Can-Am vehicles under BRP). Production ended years ago, so these are now vintage/used boats, often found in Canada and occasionally in the US, with a small but dedicated owner community.
