Sea Bird '86 Gaff Sloop by Bolger

Description

Launched in 1986 and refined through the early 1990s, the Sea Bird ’86 is Phil Bolger’s thoroughly modern plywood/epoxy update of the legendary 1899 Thomas Fleming Day / Charles D. Mower 26-ft sharpie cruising yawl. Bolger kept the spirit and almost the exact appearance of the original but redrew the hull for taped-seam construction, increased waterline length slightly for better speed, and offered owners an unprecedented choice of three entirely different rigs on the same hull (gaff, lug, and junk).
