Bolger Jessie Cooper

Description

The Jessie Cooper is a 25-foot (7.62 m) plywood sharpie schooner designed by the innovative naval architect Phil Bolger (1920–2009). This design, featured in Bolger's 1983 book Thirty Odd Boats (International Marine), embodies his signature philosophy of simple, affordable, and seaworthy craft for amateur builders. Named after a friend or client (details on the namesake are sparse in sources, but it's one of Bolger's many tributes to everyday sailors), the Jessie Cooper is praised for its freestanding rig and no-nonsense construction, making it ideal for coastal cruising, day sailing, or even light offshore work.

Custom sail calculations are not possible for this boat as no I, J, P and E dimensions are available.
