Beneteau Oceanis 510 (Oceanis 51)
Description
The Beneteau Oceanis 510 is a spacious aft-cockpit cruiser designed by Berret-Racoupeau and built by Beneteau in France from 1992 to 1997. As a flagship of the early Oceanis line, it was conceived as a "true Clipper" for family cruising and occasional bluewater passages, emphasizing power, speed, and ease of handling with its wide beam and efficient hull. Approximately 100 units were produced, many in charter service, and it's celebrated for its voluminous interior and balanced performance. Variants include a deep fin keel (6.23 ft draft) for upwind prowess, a wing keel (6.07 ft) for stability in shallows, and 3- or 4-cabin layouts. Owners describe it as "strong and fast" with taut sails.
