Description
The Beneteau Oceanis 43 is a versatile French cruising sloop designed by Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design (exterior) and Nauta Design (interior), launched in 2006 as part of Beneteau's Oceanis line to blend family-friendly comfort with spirited performance for coastal and extended voyages. Built in France until 2010 and then in the U.S. at Beneteau's Marion, South Carolina facility until 2014, it became a charter favorite (often as the Moorings 43.4) due to its modular layouts and seaworthiness, with over 400 units produced. This 43-footer prioritizes ease of handling with a wide beam for stability, a voluminous interior for 6–10 aboard, and a responsive rig that sails itself in moderate conditions—ideal for Mediterranean hops or Caribbean charters.
