Beneteau Oceanis 351
Description
The Beneteau Oceanis 351 is a popular production cruising sailboat from the French builder Beneteau, introduced in 1994 as part of the second-generation Oceanis line. Designed by the renowned firm Berret-Racoupeau (Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau), it was built until 1997, with over 400 units produced. This 35-foot (10.6m) sloop emphasizes spacious interiors, family-friendly accommodations, and balanced performance for coastal cruising and short passages. At the time, its wide beam made it stand out for roomy cabins and a generous saloon, appealing to charter companies and liveaboard couples alike. A variant, the Oceanis 352 (1997 update), featured minor tweaks like a slightly longer hull (LOD 34.1 ft). It's not a hardcore blue water boat but excels in moderate conditions, with good light-air manners and easy handling.
