Beneteau Idylle 11.5
Description
The Beneteau Idylle 11.5 (also known as the Idylle 1150) is a classic French cruising sailboat designed by Jean Berret and built by Beneteau from 1983 to 1988, with approximately 200 units produced. As part of Beneteau's short-lived Idylle range—aimed at comfortable, traditional cruising distinct from the sporty First series—it draws from the hull of the First 35 but with a more moderate keel, skeg-hung rudder, and cut-down rig for easier handling and family use. This 36-footer prioritizes seaworthiness, interior space, and simplicity, making it a solid choice for coastal cruising or short offshore passages. A 2015 Yachting Monthly review described it as a "home-like" cruiser with welcoming fittings and a windscreen-protected cockpit, ideal for couples or small families seeking a gentle, stable ride rather than high performance.11440 lbs.
