Beneteau First 47.7

Description

The Beneteau First 47.7 (also known as First 47'7") is a high-performance cruiser-racer designed by Bruce Farr (Farr Yacht Design) and produced by Beneteau from 1999 to 2004. Building on the success of the First 40.7, it was engineered for both competitive racing (e.g., IMS/IRC handicap wins) and long-distance cruising, with customizable options for rig, keel, and layout to suit racer or cruiser preferences. Over 500 units were built, making it a bestseller that influenced modern performance yachts with its lightweight GRP construction, powerful hull lines, and forgiving handling. It's CE Category A ocean-rated, ideal for transocean passages or family charters, and remains popular in used fleets for events like the Fastnet Race.
