Beneteau First 345F
Description
The Beneteau First 345 is a performance-oriented masthead sloop designed by Jean Berret and built by Beneteau in France (with some U.S. production) from 1985 to 1988. As a versatile racer-cruiser in Beneteau's First line, it was influenced by IOR rules for competitive speed while providing practical family accommodations for coastal cruising. Approximately 500 units were produced (majority in France, ~80 in the U.S.), many still racing in PHRF fleets or serving as capable weekenders. The "F" likely denotes the fin keel variant, emphasizing agility over the shoal-draft option.
