Beneteau First 24
Description
The Beneteau First 24 is a lightweight, trailerable fractional sloop designed by Seascape Yachts (in collaboration with Beneteau) and built by Beneteau in Slovenia from 2015 to present. As a modern pocket performance boat in Beneteau's First line, it blends dinghy-like agility with cruiser comforts, optimized for solo, double-handed, or family racing/day sailing in coastal or protected waters. Known for its carbon-reinforced hull, swing keel for beaching, and self-tacking jib for ease, it's praised as a "smart pocket cruiser" that's thrilling in light winds and planing in breezes—owners call it "addictively fun" and versatile for club races or short overnights. Over 200 units have been produced, with active fleets in Europe and the U.S. Variants include a fixed keel (6'7" draft) for racing and basic vs. equipped packages (e.g., carbon mast).
