Beneteau Oceanis 50
Description
The Beneteau Oceanis 50 is a luxurious aft-cockpit cruiser designed by Nauta Design and built by Beneteau in France from 2004 to 2010. As a larger evolution in the Oceanis line, it prioritizes comfort and performance for family cruising or charters, with a wide beam for stability, a twin-rudder setup for precise control, and a masthead sloop rig for easy sail management. Approximately 200 units were produced, many in 3- or 4-cabin configurations, making it a favorite for Mediterranean or Caribbean voyages. Owners highlight its spacious layout and "effortless" handling, though it's noted for moderate upwind performance in light air—best with a code zero sail.
