Beneteau First 28
Description
The Beneteau First 28 is a classic masthead sloop designed by Jean-Marie Finot and built by Beneteau in France from 1980 to 1982. As an early performer in Beneteau's First line, it was inspired by the successful "Eglantine" racer, emphasizing agility, stability, and simplicity for club racing or coastal day sails. With around 600 units produced, it's a lightweight fiberglass pocket cruiser known for its fin keel/spade rudder setup, offering responsive handling in moderate winds. Owners appreciate its "fast yet forgiving" qualities and surprising interior space for a 28-footer, making it ideal for couples or small families on protected waters
