Bb 10 Meter
Description
The BB 10m (also known as the BB 10, BB-10, or BB 10 Meter) is a Danish one-design racing keelboat designed by Børge Børresen and his son Anders Børresen, renowned for their work on Olympic-class boats like the Dragon and Soling. Introduced in 1977, it was conceived as a fast, performance-oriented "family racer" that could handle both competitive regattas and light cruising, drawing inspiration from the Soling's agility but scaled up with a narrow, needle-like hull for speed. Built primarily by Børresen Bådebyggeri in Vejle, Denmark, approximately 150 hulls have been produced, with production ongoing as of recent years under Vejle Yacht Service (which acquired the molds in 2012). About 20 were built in the US by Scandinavian Yachts in Annapolis, Maryland, and a few in Canada (possibly by Whitby Boat Works or Florida yards using Danish molds), though North American versions may vary in build quality. The design emphasizes simplicity, single-handing capability, and exceptional downwind performance, making it a cult favorite in Europe (especially Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland) for one-design fleets.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
