Description
The Bavaria Cruiser 45 is a popular mid-size family cruising sailboat produced by Bavaria Yachts in Germany from 2010/2011 to around 2014–2016 (as part of the refreshed Cruiser line introduced post-2009 financial restructuring). Designed by Farr Yacht Design (the American firm led by Bruce Farr, in collaboration with DesignworksUSA for styling/interiors), it was built in significant production quantities—estimated in the several hundreds (likely 500–1,000+ units across variants, with reports of around 60 sold shortly after launch and strong ongoing sales in charter markets, making it one of Bavaria's more successful models in the 40–50 ft range). This places it as a high-volume classic in Bavaria's modern era, prized for its excellent balance of performance, spacious accommodations, and affordability—ideal for coastal cruising, Mediterranean charters, or light bluewater passages with good seakeeping.
