Description
The Bavaria 56 (more precisely known as the Bavaria Cruiser 56) is a large, modern family cruising sailboat produced by Bavaria Yachts in Germany from 2013/2014 to around 2016–2018 (production was relatively short-lived as Bavaria's flagship in the Cruiser line before shifting focus to newer models). Designed by Farr Yacht Design (the renowned American firm led by Bruce Farr, responsible for many high-performance production cruisers), it was built in moderate production quantities—estimated in the low hundreds (likely 100–300 units total, though Bavaria does not release exact public figures, common for their models in this premium size range). As Bavaria's largest Cruiser-series offering at the time, it stands out for its impressive volume, innovative features (like a bright, open saloon and multiple cabin layouts), solid offshore capability, and nimble handling for its size—making it well-suited to long-distance coastal, bluewater, or charter cruising.
