Barberis Show 27

Description

The Barberis Show 27 (also known as the Show 27) is a compact, versatile racer-cruiser designed by Delio Barberis and Lanfranco Soma, built by Cantieri Barberis (an Italian yard known for the "Show" series of fiberglass sailboats), and first introduced in 1978. Production continued into the 1980s (exact end date unclear), with an estimated moderate number of hulls built (likely dozens to low hundreds, as it's a regional European model with surviving examples mostly in Italy and nearby markets). Outstanding characteristics include its fiberglass construction for durability and low maintenance, masthead sloop rig with a generous sail plan for strong light-air performance and good all-around speed, relatively spacious accommodations for its size (suitable for 2–4 people on coastal cruises or short overnights), forgiving handling and stability as a family daysailer or club racer, and a reputation as an affordable, solid Italian-built classic.
