Baltic 64
Description
The Baltic 64 is a high-performance semi-custom racer-cruiser designed by the legendary American firm Sparkman & Stephens, built by Baltic Yachts in Finland, and first introduced in 1988. Production continued until 1997, resulting in a total of 5 hulls built—a very limited series that reflected Baltic's focus on bespoke, high-quality yachts blending moderate IOR hull shaping for competitive racing (successful in both IOR and emerging IMS divisions) with exceptional cruising comfort. Outstanding characteristics include its advanced composite/fiberglass construction (often with hybrid laminates and balsa core for outstanding stiffness-to-weight ratio and durability), masthead sloop rig for powerful, balanced, and efficient performance, strong all-around speed with excellent stability and motion comfort in offshore conditions, spacious and luxuriously appointed interior featuring elegant teak or custom finishes, generous accommodations suitable for extended voyages or family use, superb Finnish craftsmanship delivering top-tier quality and seaworthiness, and a lasting reputation as a timeless, capable classic from Baltic's golden era—highly prized for its rarity, performance pedigree, and enduring value in the used market.
