Islander 25 Bahama

Description

The Islander 25 Bahama (more precisely known as the Islander Bahama 24, with its 24 ft LOA often rounded up in casual references) is a classic American trailerable daysailer and pocket cruiser designed by Joseph McGlasson. Built by Islander Yachts (under McGlasson Marine) from 1964 to 1970, approximately 500 hulls were produced. It's an evolution of the earlier Islander 24, featuring a raised deck for better cabin space and headroom, a modified full keel for stability, and a distinctive "V-plank" hull appearance mimicking wooden boats. Renowned for its seaworthiness, ease of trailering, and affordability, it's popular among beginners and coastal cruisers, though its compact size limits long-range capability.
