Atkin 16 (Active Ii)
Description
This is the Atkin 16-foot sloop, "Active II" — a fin-keel, sloop-rigged dory designed by William Atkin in 1934. from the original Atkin & Co. plans for Active II, published in The Rudder or MoToR BoatinG in 1934–35. It’s a performance-oriented day sailer — more agile upwind than the pirogue-rigged Active III, but less forgiving in gusts due to the deeper fin keel and higher sail plan.
