Ariki 45.5

Description

The Ariki is a classic sailing catamaran design from renowned British naval architect James Wharram, part of his pioneering series of plywood multihulls inspired by Polynesian voyaging canoes. It's a larger evolution of Wharram's smaller designs like the Raka (26 feet) and a precursor to the Tehini (60 feet), emphasizing simplicity, seaworthiness, and self-build affordability for long-distance cruising or ocean racing. Designed in the early 1970s for a single-handed transatlantic racer, the Ariki features slim, fast hulls with a rakish profile, making it ideal for adventurous sailors seeking performance without luxury frills.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
