The Aquadyne Sailbird 18 Tri (built ~ 1971–1979 by Aquadyne Corp., Virginia) is a lightweight 18‑foot fiberglass trimaran designed for ease of transport and lively performance under a small fractional rig. With a total sail area of about 150 sq ft, it planes readily in moderate winds and remains one of the pioneering U.S. trailer‑multihulls that introduced recreational sailors to trimaran speed in a compact, affordable package.
