Description
The Antigua 44, designed by Peter Schmidt in the 1980s, is a 44‑foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built in the United States for long‑range passage making. Featuring a masthead sloop or cutter rig—approximately I = 54 ft, J = 17 ft, P = 48 ft, E = 15 ft—it carries about 820 sq ft of working sail area. Its heavy, well‑balanced hull, deep fin keel, and comfortable raised saloon interior make it a respected ocean‑capable liveaboard yacht from the traditional American blue‑water design era.
