Allmand 31
Description
The Allmand 31 is an American coastal cruising sailboat designed by Walter Scott in collaboration with T.R. Allmand, first introduced in 1978 as the Sail 31. It was produced by Allmand Boats Inc., a Florida-based company originally known for powerboats that pivoted to sailboats during the 1970s energy crisis. A variant, the Allmand 312, shares the same hull and deck but features a modified interior layout. With a shoal-draft fin keel and skeg-hung rudder, it's optimized for shallow-water cruising in areas like the Bahamas or Intracoastal Waterway, offering a spacious tri-cabin interior for family use. Production ran until around 1985, with an estimated 100–200 units built before the company ceased operations.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
