Albin Accent 26

Description

The Albin Accent 26 (also known as the Accent 26 or Shipman Accent) is a classic Swedish-designed cruiser-racer sailboat from the 1970s, blending competitive performance with practical cruising capabilities. Designed by renowned naval architect Peter Norlin as an IOR quarter-tonner, its prototype won the 1974 World 1/4 Ton Championships. Built primarily by Shipman Marine in Denmark and Albin Marine in Sweden between 1975 and 1980, over 760 units were produced, making it a popular choice in Scandinavia and beyond. This masthead sloop features a fin keel with a skeg-hung rudder, offering responsive handling for racing while providing enough stability and interior space for weekend cruising or family outings. It's celebrated for its seaworthiness, simple rigging, and timeless lines.
