Albin 82 Ms

Description

The Albin 82 MS is a classic Swedish motor Sailer designed for comfortable coastal cruising, blending sail and power capabilities for leisurely family outings or short passages. Created by naval architect Per Brohäll, it was produced by Albin Marine in Kristinehamn, Sweden, from 1975 to 1980, with around 220 units built before the yard's bankruptcy. This keelboat features a full keel for stability, a masthead sloop rig for auxiliary sailing, and a pilothouse with aft cabin for all-weather protection. It's praised for its robust fiberglass construction, spacious cockpit (seating 6 with teak table), and practical layout, though the heavy displacement and low sail area make it more motor-oriented than a pure sailboat.
