Pearson 33
Description
Designed as a successor to earlier Pearson models like the Coaster and Wanderer, the Mark I was introduced in 1970 by Pearson Yachts in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. It targeted sailors seeking a sturdy, affordable cruiser with racing potential under the Cruising Club of America (CCA) rating system. Featuring a long keel or fin keel with a partial skeg rudder, it emphasized seaworthiness over speed. Approximately 150–200 units were built, powered by a Universal Atomic 4 gasoline engine (many later repowered with diesels). Its conservative design reflected the era’s focus on heavy-displacement cruisers. Produced from 1970 to 1975 LWL 25.8 Beam 10 Disp. 10900 Ballast 4200 Draft 4/7.6

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
