Dufour 24 (1300)

Description

The Dufour 1300 is a compact racing sailboat designed by French naval architect Michel Dufour and produced by Dufour Yachts in La Rochelle, France. Launched in the early 1970s as an International Offshore Rule (IOR) 1/4-ton racer, it was built specifically for competitive one-quarter ton cup racing. Production ran from 1973 to 1976, with approximately 100 units constructed. A variant of the design was also manufactured in Poland under license. This model reflects Dufour's early innovation in polyester fiberglass construction, emphasizing speed and agility over comfort, making it a classic entry-level racer for club racing or short-handed sailing.
