Cygnus 20

Description

The Cygnus 20 is a classic Canadian trailerable sailboat designed by George Hinterhoeller and first built in 1963. Initially produced by Hinterhoeller Yachts in Niagara Falls, Ontario, it was also constructed by Clarkecraft in St. Catharines, Ontario. Originally named the HR 20, it was renamed Cygnus 20 following the formation of a class association in 1965–66. When Hinterhoeller Yachts merged into C&C Yachts in 1969, the tooling was sold to Skene Boats in Gloucester, Ontario, where production continued until Skene's closure in 1992. Known for its lightweight planning hull and detachable cuddy cabin, it's a nimble daysailer and racer suitable for lakes, bays, and coastal waters.
