The Nine of Cups is a tarot card symbolizing dreams realized. When we first moved aboard in 2000, we dreamed of sailing off to as many faraway places as we could and changed the name of our 1986 cutter to Nine of Cups in the hope she would help us realize those dreams. Reaching the Caribbean was our first exotic destination; our arrival there was definitely a dream come true. It’s appropriate then, that Caribbean Stories is the first in a series of several eBooks we hope to publish about the sailing life and travels aboard Nine of Cups.
Caribbean Stories is a compilation of stories previously published in Caribbean Compass magazine, as well as new stories never published before. It’s full of color photos and anecdotes that will allow you to experience the beauty and thrill of sailing in the Carib. Come along with us to some off-the-beaten-track locations, some historical sites, and some lovely cities. We’re inviting you to share the ride.
Though I tend to concentrate on destinations, in the future David will provide eBooks that concentrate on the technical side of sailing and what’s necessary to maintain and repair the boat . . . so we can get to those exotic destinations safely. In the meantime, come aboard as we explore the Caribbean. It’s warm and wonderful.
Caribbean Stories is available in a PDF format that should work just fine on your computer or any tablet.
