Almost from the beginning, with its first issue in June of 1998, Good Old Boat magazine has featured two editorial pieces: The View from Here and The Last Tack. At the request of our readers, we have compiled these articles into an audiobook we are calling Bookends.

SKU: 29 Category:

by Karen Larson and Jerry Powlas

Karen Larson reads the short editorial introductions, called The View from Here, and the Last Tack columns published in the first 50 issues. These pieces, written primarily by the founding editors (Karen and her husband, Jerry Powlas) and a few others, focus on sailing and sailboats in general, as well as starting a magazine and the founders’ perspectives as new editors.

This material is a collection of humorous and philosophical musings that are timeless in nature. They’re just right for short drives or sails and for trips to the gym.
